Where We Work
FORGE currently works in Meheba Refugee Settlement in Zambia. The United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) operates Meheba with the Government of the Republic of Zambia. FORGE has previously worked in one post-conflict situation: Moba, DRC. FORGE has also worked previously in Dukwi Refugee Camp in Botswana and Mwange and Kala Refugee Camps in Zambia.
By 2012, FORGE plans to work in eight sites in three countries with displaced people from the Great Lakes region of Africa.
FORGE currently serves over 10,000 refugees from Angola, Rwanda, Burundi, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
